Casino Nation is an online casino owned and operated by Argyll Entertainment and offers players games that include slots, table games and live games.

Summary

It has been a few years since the last update so I was tasked with redesigning the Landing Page for Casino Nation using the Idefix system that has been used with success on other brands. I concentrated on the Product Design process, wire-framing, and user-interface design combining user research and stakeholders’ requirements to achieve the end result.

Problem

There were a few problems we needed to address:

 

  1. Each page has different size banners.
  2. Grid and gutters are not consistent.
  3. The current backend is not up to the task.
  4. Not showing the site’s features straight away.
  5. The business wants to attract more players and they tend to not enjoy an outdated site.
  6. The site has too many pages causing some players to get lost or not remember where they saw certain games.

PREVIOUS DESIGN

USERS & AUDIENCE

The users included existing Casino Nation and cross-sell customers from other brands within EEG, and we also marketed to prospective users.

PROCESS

I started by combining the pages into one main landing page, identifying which part of the casino users goes to the most and having them higher up on the page. Tested and settled on a solid grid and consistent gutters thus creating a unified feel throughout the site.

The features of the site are placed just below featured games and state clearly which features we offer and in detail what they are. With these features clearly present and with the extensive payment methods we accept and a new modern website we hope this would draw potential customers. Using the Idefix system also enables a better backend for the marketing team to update.

All the games displayed have been confirmed as the most played by each category they are in, not to mention an eye-catching top banner with an offer to entice customers to new offers or existing offers, this is a dynamic banner that changes depending on the level of customers. We tie this over with another banner at the bottom with more offers.

CONCLUSION

It has always been a joy to see the finished product live and compare it to the old version, the cohesion in the new site just makes all the hard work and stress worthwhile.
