Summary
Stakeholders at ComeOn! wanted to refresh the App and update it to the current branding style.
Challenge
This may not be a major update to the app but bringing it forward to the current time and making it look relevant isn’t easy. We have to establish a better grid, making sure the game page shows all the necessary details but keeping it clean and thumbnails reworked for retina displays.
USERS & AUDIENCE
The users included existing ComeOn! customers and cross-sell customers from other brands within the Group.
ROLES
Our team consisted of me as Lead Designer, an Illustrator and a Developer.
PROCESS
I started out looking at redesigning the game pages making sure they are updated to the current trends and incorporating the chalk style around it so that the design and functionalities are the core.
ComeOn! pride itself on minimal design with a clean and clear structure, I took this approach and applied it to the design and still have enough information displayed so players are clear on which game and which providers they are from. One major update was the BankID login for the Swedish market which needed to be incorporated from the developer’s side. Lastly, I added a bottom tab bar for quick access to certain services which the app did not have before.
CONCLUSION
It was an update to the app not a massive overhaul of it so the project did not take long but it is important to add features that make the difference between a website and an app.
